Massive website relaunch
Focus of the Canon China relaunch was to improve the navigation, update the information architecture as well as to develop a modern, contemporary and engaging design.
While having to restructure well over 17.000 pages while respecting different requirements, restrictions and needs of various business units, this wasn't a small task.
In cooperation with several Japanese agencies, we managed to reformat the structure and redesigned the whole website. Finally, all improvements have been documented in an extensive style guide for future developments.
In regard to changing user behaviour, another update is under way, improving the website's responsiveness to different user devices. In the meantime, a seperated mobile version has been developed which accesses the content repository of the desktop version yet caters to the needs of mobile devices in regard to style and content.
